How can I stop getting INSANE amounts of bulk email?

I get insane amounts of bulk email and it is really annoying. I have to sift through it because sometimes emails from people that I know get put in my bulk folder so i can’t just empty the folder. I know other people with Yahoo accounts and they do not get nearly as much bulk as me. Is there a certain reason why I keep getting this junk mail?
Yes, it depends on what web sites you go to. Just by clicking on a link, you could give info out on yourself. Be real careful what “clubs” or groups, or different newsletters you sign up for online, because they will sell your e-mail address to companies who send spam.
Change your email address and be very careful who you give it out to in the future.
Just change your email address.
