I received an email from (myname)@yahoo.com Although I have my mail set up to show a different “Sender” name, if this were to go to others who know me, they might be inclined to open it thinking it was from me. What’s up with this?
thanks, Bobby O’Brien
PS I have seen many, many variables of my name for everything under the sun from ****** enlargement (I am a guy) to Viagra. But this one hit the nail on the head.

I have a good dish from my country and my great grand mother used to cook it can I market it to supermarkets?

I have a tasty home made dish going back a few generations from my family, it tastes beautiful and Can be made in bulk, my question is can I go to a local supermarket in the UK and ask them to sample it and give them a price/target group etc.. and see if they will package it and sell it on their shelves. what have I go to loose? And if this is the case who do I talk to my first point of contact? is it the head office via Email or directly to the local store?

Sending bulk emails. How do I not look like a spammer?

I have a list of email addresses, about 500, all with consent to be emailed, which I would like to email about a building product I’m marketing. But I’ve heard of people’s email accounts getting blocked when sending lots of emails and I don’t want this happening to me.

How do I prevent my account from being blocked?
What are the limits on sending bulk emails?
Who decides that an account is being used for spam? The ISP or the hosting company that hosts the mailbox?

Many thanks

Has anyone else received this message in their Yahoo! email?

“Account Alert

Dear Valued Member,

Due to the congestion in all Yahoo users and removal of all unused Yahoo Accounts, Yahoo would be shutting down all unused Accounts, You will have to confirm your E-mail by filling out your Login Info below after clicking the reply button, or your account will be suspended within 24 hours for security reasons.User Name: :…………………………………..
Password:…………………………………..
Date Of Birth:……………………………………
Country Or Territory:…………………………

After Following the instructions in the sheet, your account will be interrupted and will continue as normal. Thanks for your attention to this request. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Is this legit? I’m asking because it came in my Bulk mail…and usually emails like this come to my Inbox. Plus, they always use my ID rather than “Dear Valued Customer”, and I cannot for the life of me fathom why they would need to confirm accounts that we are using actively. Isn’t signing in a confirmation of sorts? I don’t like that this email wants you to supply them for info. that they already have…it just seems rather suspicious. I’ve always been told that when someone asks for this info, you should NEVER give it to them…and why would Yahoo!, a place that commonly tells us NOT to fall for scams like this tell us to do it now?

Scam or legit? Anybody know? I’m going to be REALLY angry if I lose my email accounts because I’ve had them for two years or more, and I have a LOT of things saved on them. But I’m not going to chance having my accounts hacked either!

There is alot of pay per click fraud. I use email marketing to explode my traffic. http://www.emailmadness has increased my income tremendously. pay per click has never worked for me and I don’t intend to use it in the near future, but if someone does have a plan on how to actually make it work, I would love to hear from you and how you are doing it. Thanks. I want to combine my bulk email marketing efforts with those that do actually work.
